Bettoja-Hotels: Maurizio Bettoja bought the Restaurant
Massimo d'Azeglio, an old "osteria" near the Santa Maria
Maggiore church, in 1875 and this was the beginning of the Bettoja-Hotels
that after 5 generations is one of the biggest family owned hotel
chains in Italy: 5 hotels in Rome and 1 in Florence with totally
1000 rooms. The different hotels has been renovated during the
years but the old stile and decoration has been kept. All rooms
has been provided with modern comfort but vary in size and kind
of furniture.
Hotel Mediterraneo is the most elegant of the Bettoja-Hotels
situated near the Opera house and the Santa Maria Maggiore church
and few steps from the nice shopping street "Via Nazionale".
It takes about 15-20 min. to walk to the Spanish Steps.
In the hotel there are a spacious hall, bar, restaurant, conference
facilities and a nice roof garden open during the warm season.
All rooms are equipped with private bathroom, telephone, TV, mini-bar,
internal music, air-conditioning and soundproofed windows.
All rates include breakfast buffet and are valid all week days.
