Montecatini Terme is located in the heart of Tuscany between Florence and Pisa and is one of Italy's most famous
spa towns renowned for the natural healing property of its waters.
It's a relatively young city which developed between 1800 and
1900 even though the first spa buildings were built already
during the 15 th. Century. During the era of the powerful Florentine
Medici family Montecatini was part of their huge land properties.
Many public and private buildings were built in the charming
Liberty Stile.
Montecatini Terme is a charming small town with nice shops and
plenty of visitors coming to drink the healthy water, relax,
eat good food and stroll around in the beautiful parks taking
a coffee on one of the nice outdoor cafés. The location
make Montecatini a prefect starting point for excursions to
various art cities like Florence, Pisa and Lucca and to some of Italys famous wine districts like Chianti and Montecarlo.
Montecatini Alto is a lovely little hilltop village with
a splendid view over the lowland, joined to the Montecatini
Terme by a historical red funicular railway. The charming medieval
village is the original Montecatini settlement and on the delightful
Piazza Giusti there are nice bars and restaurants.

Next to being a spa city, Montecatini Terme is also a city that
has all the facilities to host congresses. Every year, important
conferences, meeting, conventions and events take place here.
Montecatini also host a nice Golf course.
