The beautiful area of Val D’Orcia is situated in the south
of Tuscany and is formed by soft rolling hills with a wonderful
diversify of torrents, ravines and charming small medieval villages.
During the 14th and 15th centuries Val d'Orcia was included in
the territory of the city-state of Siena and the many abbeys,
inns, churches and bridges in this area, that was also crossed
by the ancient Roman Francigena road, created a landscape
which was particularly celebrated by the great Renaissance Siennese’s
painters, as well as by the romantic writers from England, France
and Germany. Today Val d'Orcia keeps on fascinating artists and
tourists remaining a magnificent and unspoilt area.

What can be better then discovering this beautiful
area on a bike! But not only. There will be plenty of occasions
to explore not only the unique landscape with its rolling hills
but also the local food, the famous wines at typical Tuscan vineyards
and of course the picturesque medieval villages. For art lovers
art cities like Forence and Siena are not very far away and nice
relaxing hotels also offer the possibiliy to use meeting facilities.
