Eurochocolate in Perugia

For all chocolate lovers, there are various chocolate festivals throughout Italy, which can be a great opportunity to combine chocolate with the possibility to discover the local gastronomy, history and culture.
The most famous chocolate festival is Eurochocolate in the charming town of Perugia in Umbria, called the Green Heart of Italy, located between Rome and Tuscany. This year’s edition of Eurochocolate will be held as always in October. Ten days with a great number of various chocolate events that involve large and small chocolate producers, the municipality in cooperation with the cacao producing countries, restaurants, bars, shops and the hospitable local population. The entire historic center is full of stalls and by buying a Chokocard you can get some free samples and discounts at many of the stalls.

Arrival at Rome airport where a private minivan will be waiting for transfer to Perugia.
Check-in at a hotel in the historical centre of Perugia.
In Perugia there will be plenty of time to indulge in all the delights and initiatives of the chocolate festival in the charming historical town center. In many restaurants the chefs will propose exciting menus where chocolate is included as one of the ingredients in all dishes.
On the third day it’s time to head south again and on the way to Rome, we stop at a winery in the beautiful area of Montefalco to taste the excellent wines produced there. It’s also possible to make a stop in one of the other interesting historic small towns with inspiring names such as Spello and Spoleto.
Arrival in Rome and check in at a centrally located hotel.
Last day transfer to the airport for departure.
